Death must be a Viennese!
Song by Georg Kreisler and Topsy Küppers
The Viennese people always had a special relation to death which can be dived into at Vienna’s central cemetery where tourist tours and events such as concerts take place, bees are held for their honey and much other animal life can be found. The over 3 million “inhabitants” are of many different religions and next to famous names such as Beethoven, Falco, Curd Jürgens, you can find the graves of other “normal” Viennese citizens.
Before you leave the cemetery don’t forget to pass by the souvenir shop to get a mug, t-shirt or whatever you fancy.
