The battle of Aspern took place in 1809 – the first battle lost by Napoleon’s army under his overview. To this day several memorial stones in the form of obelisks can be viewed in the national park Donau Auen.

In memory of Nelson-Mandela we will take a walk through Seestadt, where several stations await us, including a poetry slam session, an exhibition and a lecture about South African activists – the day will be rounded off with Southafrican food and drinks.
